Kareena was comfortable wearing bikini in Kambakkht Ishq

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor had no problems wearing a bikini for her just-released Kambakkht Ishq, informs debutant director Sabbir Khan.

"There was no problem from Kareena's side in wearing a bikini. If she's said that she wouldn't don a bikini, then she must have felt that the scene she has performed in Kambakkht Ishq is special before going ahead and doing it," said Khan.

"She didn't have any apprehensions...and I think she's gone ahead and done it beautifully...If there had been any problems, she wouldn't have worn it," he added.

Kareena has earlier said that she has decided to stay away from bikini for her mother Babita's sake. Babita didn't like her two-piece stint in last year's dud Tashan.

About 2000 prints of Kambakkht Ishq were released worldwide this weekend but the stars of the film are still busy promoting it. After Akshay Kumar wow-ed the crowds in Delhi with his stunts, it is Kareena Kapoor now who is taking a reality check in Mumbai.

“It is supposed to be taken in a light note, it is not going to the Oscars and we don't want it to go to the Oscars,” says Kareena.

This was Kareena at her realistic best while promoting the film at a local Mumbai multiplex on Friday. But more than the film itself, it is a song that Bebo is most excited about. Not only is the track called bebo, it is also fully dedicated to her.

“When you see the film, my name is Bebo, so that's how we decided that we'll record a song in my name. The song we have shot, I think it is very much like my personality, its vivacious and its fun,” says the actress.

Kareena plays a supermodel in Kambakkht Ishq, no wonder then the star will be seen in many designer outfits and even a swimsuit in the film. But bebo is quick to defend her look or shall we say, her role?

“I'm not just a glamorous doll, neither am I an art film actress. If I do Jab We Met or Chameli, then I balance it out with K3G, Omkara and Kambakkht Ishq,” says Kareena.

Wednesday night saw a Bollywood buzz at a suburban theatre, and rightly so, for it was a special screening of Kambakkht Ishq for close friends and select guests of Sajid and Wardha Nadiadwala.
Of course the lead pair — Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, the latter dressed in a sunshine yellow loose dress — were there, Kareena’s sunshine smile and Akshay’s loud laughter leaving their stamp.

Shirish Kunder was without wife Farah Khan, but he found ample company in Riteish Deshmukh and later, David Dhawan. David wasn’t the only director there — Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah came along with their wives too. Niharika Khan laughed her way through the night with Roshan and Shaheen Abbas for company. Arpita Khan was spotted chatting with her former flame Arjun Kapoor, the two are still good buddies.

Zarine Khan came with her daughter Farah Khan Ali, son-in-law DJ Aqeel and daughter-in-law Malaika Khan. Dara Singh and son Vindoo walked in together, big smiles on their faces, and Vindoo left with an even bigger smile on his face courtesy the compliments he received for his role. So what if ishq is kambakkht, it can still be fun!
